Get started by installing the Electronic Ambient Air Temperature Sensor which we include as part of the gauge kit. This sensor can be installed in areas where it will not be affected by engine heat, such as on the radiator, the grill, or the truck’s bumper. Run the included sensor wire from the sensor to the gauge. The included power harness can be wired from the gauge directly into your truck’s fuse box. Then select the mounting location of this outside air temperature gauge for trucks on the factory A-pillar, dash or another area. MaxTow provides detailed installation instructions that will walk you through this entire process step by step.
Are MaxTow ambient air temp gauges for trucks waterproof?
These truck outside air temp gauges are not and we recommend installing them in a dry location in your make and model. The sensor is waterproof and built to stand up to harsher conditions. The ambient air temp gauge sensor and included 18’ sensor wire harness both have waterproof connectors for a leak-free seal.
