This gauge takes accurate readings with the included Electronic Air Temperature Sensor which installs to any lower portion of your truck – such as behind the front bumper or wheel well area – where it will not be affected by engine heat. MaxTow’s Black & Blue Double Vision™ Gauge Series features a black gauge dial and blue LED display with an illuminated red needle. You get the classic look of an analog gauge combined with a blue digital numerical readout. This 2-1/16” (52mm) gauge outperforms the competition with features like stepper motor technology which allows for all needle movement to be exceptionally smooth and all gauge readings to be extremely accurate. Brightness Recall remembers the previous brightness setting before powering down your truck.

MaxTow analog and digital ambient air temperature gauges feature sensor and power harnesses with extended lengths for added flexibility during installation. The temperature sensor harness with a waterproof connector is 9’ long and the power harness is 5’ long, assuring you’ll have more than enough wiring for the install. Easily attach both harnesses to the back of the gauge by utilizing seamless Plug and Play connectivity.

Even though your truck is built to manage temperature fluctuations, extreme temperatures can equate to a loss in horsepower, reduced fuel economy, overheating, engine knocking and more. Knowing the temperature of the air entering your engine will help you determine if your engine is performing optimally. How Do I Mount MaxTow’s Ambient Air Temperature Sensor?

The ambient air temperature sensor has a built-in mounting clip which allows it to be mounted to the front of the truck on the radiator support using an existing bolt or screw. The sensor can also be mounted behind the vehicle’s grill or bumper as long as air passes over it. No matter which location you choose, ensure the sensor is mounted where it will be free of any obstructions that could block outside air from passing over it.
