WHY DO I NEED A MAXTOW EXHAUST BACK PRESSURE GAUGE?
Monitoring drive pressure levels ensures that you’re not overboosting your truck, which could damage the turbo and cause a blown head gasket. The ideal drive-to-boost ratio is 1:1, meaning for every PSI of exhaust pressure there should be an equal amount of boost pressure. When the drive pressure levels exceed the 1:1 ratio, the truck is trying to push the turbo too hard and a backup of gasses could lead to critical damage. Driving with this ratio out of balance also makes the turbocharger less efficient.

Choose between a 60 PSI or 100 PSI Exhaust Pressure Gauge depending on how much aftermarket tuning you’ve done to your truck. Both of these exhaust system back pressure gauges are recommended for diesel trucks. If you’re doing more typical aftermarket mods, we recommend the 60 PSI. But if you’re really overhauling your truck for more power and higher pressure readings, the 100 PSI is your best bet. You’ll receive a 1/8-27 NPT Electronic Pressure Sensor; 9’ Pressure Sensor Harness; 5’ of 1/4” Copper Cooling Tubing; (2) Sets of Compression Fittings; a 5’ Power Harness; and a Gauge Visor for sun glare. Select a spot in your truck and install using the provided Mounting Bracket and Mounting Hardware. Or you can purchase a MaxTow pillar pod or dashboard pod separately.
