WHY DO I NEED A STAND ALONE NITROUS PRESSURE GAUGE?
Nitrous bottles are often mounted in out-of-the-way locations where they can’t be seen, such as behind seats or in the trunk of a vehicle, most often with stainless steel braided lines that run to the engine compartment. With this direct connection from a nitrous bottle to the engine, often without any clear visibility by the driver, there is no way to accurately decipher the amount of nitrous being used. By attaching a NOS pressure gauge to this connection between the nitrous bottle and engine compartment, a driver will have the information they need regarding the amount of usage. Nitrous relies on engine airflow to draw it into the cylinders, and a nitrous boost gauge allows you to monitor accurately.
WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH MY NITROUS PRESSURE GAUGE?
Your analog and digital nitrous pressure gauge comes with everything required for a complete and thorough installation. Included is a 1/8-27 NPT electronic pressure sensor, 9’ sensor harness and a 3’ power harness that feature Plug-and-Play Connectors for a quick and easy installation. A mounting bracket, mounting hardware, gauge visor and installation instructions are included as well with your NOS gauge. Depending on your engine speed, the amount of horsepower, and how much nitrous you are using, this NOS bottle gauge will allow you to determine your nitrous pressure levels with quick, at-a-glance readings.
What does a MaxTow Double Vision® Truck NOS Bottle Pressure Gauge measure, and why is it important for trucks using nitrous?
This Double Vision® NOS Nitrous Pressure Gauge for Trucks measures the amount of nitrous oxide in the bottle of your diesel nitrous system. Read pressure from 0 to 1,600 PSI to make sure you’re not adding too much nitrous to the system.
Can this MaxTow Double Vision® NOS Pressure Gauge be installed on diesel trucks running nitrous?
Absolutely. That is exactly what we have designed these Truck NOS Nitrous Pressure Gauges for. These gauges are made for track trucks, pull trucks, work horses and other applications that have been modified for more power.
Are there any special fittings needed to install MaxTow Truck NOS Nitrous Pressure Gauge sensors to the nitrous bottle?
It depends on the nitrous bottle. Some have a 1/8-27 NPT port already on the valve of the bottle so you can install the sender directly. For others you may need to use an inline adapter such as a T-Fitting to secure the sensor. Some solenoids also make it possible to install a nitrous pressure sensor.
